Hello, friend. You call those you oppose "pro-abortion". They prefer "pro-choice". Why because it's possible to intensely dislike abortions and support the right of women to choose what to do with their own bodies. To many that's a fundamental human right. "Hands off my body" has resonance.
Hi, Richard. And yet, those who "prefer" to be called "pro-choice" also call pro-lifers "anti-choice," which is both inaccurate and pejorative. I've thought about it, and do not consider "pro-choice" to be a fully accurate moniker, and is in dehumanizing. No, "two wrongs don't make a right," but to support the legalization of abortion, especially up to birth is to be "pro-abortion." I will stick with my word usage. I have and will sacrifice where I can for civility, but not the truth. Neither you nor I are under any obligation to give people their preferred descriptions. Thanks for your view.
