The City of Austin, Texas, would like word. What does the latest banality coming from the weird world of politics mean? Normal is now weird. Welcome to American politics.
Kelly, my recollection may be poor, but I’m not sure I buy your point that the voters chose Trump in that early GOP primary. It seems to me the media chose him because he was bombastic, said things others were too polite to say and was aggressive. with his childish nicknames, etc. The same thing is happening again: the media likes Harris and is forgetting the many “weird” things she’s said over the years and focusing negatively on Vance’s “weird” comments. What’s the poor voter to think if that is the media diet they are offered?
That's a fair point. No doubt CNN, MSNBC and others (including Fox) glommed on to Trump for the eyeballs (and revenue) he attracted. But primary and caucus results don't lie. Regardless, it worked.
The Wendy's commercial was perfect, as was the Gertrude Himmelfarb quote. You hit the nail on the head.
Thanks for reminding me of that great Wenfy's commercial!
Cannot wait to read your thoughts on the Dem VP pick!
There is so much material that it might take on several forms. I cannot imagine a dumber pick, for so many reasons.
