Understanding Today’s US Senate
I’m speaking at a premier Constitution Week event at Grand Lake, Colorado. Zoom in if you’re interested. 1 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, September 14
I’m not a very good self promoter, but I am pleased to share that I am speaking tomorrow (Wednesday) at Constitution week festivities in the beautiful western slope community of Grand Lake, Colorado. I’ll be discussing that other Article I branch of government, the United States Senate.
The organizers, led by Mike Tompkins, are making all their speeches available by Zoom, live. If a recording emerges, I’ll share that.
The topic is “Understanding Today’s United States Senate,” which I’ll cover in one hour or less. If you’re interested in a fast and fascinating walk through the Senate’s history, how it differs from the House, and the modern-day challenges it faces, you’re invited to tune in for the livestream.
Last but not least, I’ll address the issue whether civility is a serious issue facing the US Senate. The answer may surprise. The Zoom address is here. The website for more information about the conference is here.
