Language Sherpas At It Again
This time, it's Pima Community College joining the tribe of political correctness and woke-speak.
Here we go again. When I thought we’d long avoided the tipping point in preserving normal colloquialisms, college wokesters established a new beachhead at Pima Community College in Arizona.
Like others before them, the gurus there have powwowed and published a new “anti-racist” language guide to hold the fort against offensive talk. It seems no oft-used terms have been grandfathered, no matter how well-spoken.
It reminded me of this post I published from my peanut gallery a couple of years ago when another institution of higher learning decided to blacklist racist terms. I republish (restack) for your edification.
